THE PARIS NEWS, Friday, July 13, 1934, p. 2: "Mrs. Howard Bell, 81, Dies At Cunningham Saturday Morning. Mrs. Howard Bell, 81, of Cunningham, one of the pioneer settlers of Lamar county died at her home at 11 o'clock Friday morning. Funeral services will be held at Cunningham at 3 o'clock Saturday afternoon. Survivors include five sons, H. L. (Jack) Bell and Curt Bell of Paris; Vert Bell and Ell Bell of Cunningham and Marland Bell of Los Angeles; four daughters Mrs. Alex Watson and Mrs. H. N. Landrum of Cunningham, Mrs. W. L Robinson of Minter, and Mrs. J. N. Mills of Paris; and a large number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mrs. Bell, before her marriage was a member of the Kennedy family, one of the oldest families in Lamar county. She lived more than 75 years in the south east par of the county in the vicinity of Cunningham."

Tombstone is inscribed, "Mrs. Cassie Bell." Buried near V. Bell and Nancy Woodard.
