THE PARIS NEWS, Mon, Jun 30, 1947: “Bell Funeral Service Held Monday Afternoon. Pallbearers for the funeral Monday afternoon of A. E. (Ed) Bell, 66, were Tom Roach, Jack Thompson, Arthur Rohatsch, Clyde Humphrey, Dave Chambers and J. A. Rose. The service at Fry and Gibbs Funeral home was conducted by Cornelius Abbott, Lamar Avenue Church of Christ minister, and Robert G. Cook, also a Church of Christ minister, and burial was made in Highland Cemetery at Deport. Mr. Bell, field man for Liberty National Bank more than quarter of a century, died Saturday at 5 p.m. at home, 203-19th SE, after a long period of ill health.” Submitted by Carol Campbell.
