| Notes THE PARIS NEWS, Mon., Jan. 27, 1992: "Alpha Lee Benson, 59, of Soper, OK., died Sunday, Jan. 26, at St. Joseph's Hospital. Services will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 2, at St. Paul Baptist Church, with Rev. Freddie Cason officiating. Rogan Funeral Home will make burial in Bluff Cemetery. Surviving are six daughters, Belinda Benson and Pearlie Mae Benson, both of Soper, Wilma Walton and Wanda Benson, both of Hugo, Rose Wright of Tulsa, Okla., and Marilyn Lewis of Boswell, Okla.; three sons, Elbert Benson and Alpha Lee Benson, Jr. both of Tulsa and Andre Benson of Soper; 20 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one sister, Wanda Jean Edwards of Compton, California."
