THE PARIS NEWS, Tuesday, August 2, 1960, p. 2: “MRS. MATTIE BEAVER. Mrs. Mattie Beaver, 87, widow of C. Beaver, died unexpectedly Monday 7:55 p.m. at home 1626 Church St. She had been in failing health since April, however. The funeral, Wednesday at 2 p.m., will be held at Gene Roden & Sons chapel, and interment made Rockford Cemetery, south of Biardstown. Daughter of the late Captain A. A. McKinney and the former Emily Brien, Mrs. Beaver was born at Biardstown, April 6, 1887. Her husband died in 1952. She leaves these brothers and sisters: John McKinney, Biardstown; Claude McKinney, Miss Nannie McKinney and Mrs. Lula Brown, all of Paris.”
THE PARIS NEWS, Wednesday, August 3, 1960: “The funeral of Mrs. Mattie McKinney Beaver, 1626 S. Church St., was set Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Gene Roden & Sons chapel. Burial was arranged in Rockford Cemetery, and named bearera were Robert McKinney, Clyde McKinney, Marshall McKinney, Richard McKinney, Warren Brown and Lawrence Prince. Dr. Roland Prince of First Baptist Church had charge. Mrs. Beaver, widow of C. Beaver, died at home late Monday.
