THE PARIS NEWS Wed., Jun. 30, 1993, p. 6A: "Broken Bow, OK - Virgil Porter Beason, 81, died Monday, June 28, in Broken Bow, OK. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, July 2, at Norwood-Welch Funeral Home. Graveside services and burial will be at Forest Chapel Cemetery in Chicota, TX. Mr. Beason married Mamie Milson on April 4, 1934. He was retired from Weyerhauser in Broken Bow. Surviving are his wife; eight children, Robert Beason of Holly Creek, OK, Virgil Beason of Broken Bow, Louis Beason of Idabel, OK, Roy Beason of Nashville, AR, Florence Curry and Lisa Rambo, both of Midland, TX, Glenda Haltom of Holly Creek, OK, and Sandra Mayfield of Paris, TX; one half-sister, Ella Houser of Hugo, OK; 21 grandchildren; and 56 great-grandchildren."
