Notes

THE PARIS NEWS, 12 Aug 1963: 'Miss Anna Louise Beasley, 401 4th NW, died suddenly Monday about 3:40 p.m., a few minutes after being admitted to St. Joseph's Hospital. She had been in failing health some time. The funeral, Wednesday at 10:30 a.m., will be conducted in Fry and Gibbs chapel by the Rev. Glendell Jones and the Rev. James E. Jones, both of First Methodist Church. Burial will be made in Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Miss Beasley was born in Little Rock, Ark., daughter of the late William Preston Beasley and the former Mary Spann, who moved to Texas in 1902, and to Paris in 1910. Some years ago, Miss Beasley was employed in the county school library, and on the wartime ration board. Before her health failed, she was active in the New Era Class and the Women's Society of Christian Service at First Methodist Church, where she was a member. Surviving are these sisters and brothers: Miss Ora Beasley and Walter Beasley, Paris; Mrs. Scott Noble, Sulphur, Okla.; Mrs. L. W. Burney, Fort Worth, and Brooks Beasley, Dallas.'

Buried next to Ora Lee Beasley.
