Married James Henry Beard.

THE PARIS NEWS, Thursday, February 6, 1947, p. 3. 'Mrs. J. H. Beard, 80, passed away Thursday at 10:25 a.m. at home, Sumner, Rt. 1. An invalid since breaking her hip in a fall about four years ago, she became ill with pneumonia saturday. The funeral service, conducted by the Rev. J. L. Wideman, Baptist minister, was set for 2 p.m. Friday at Mount Vernon Church northwest of Paris, with burial in the cemetery there by Brown-Roden Funeral Home. Mrs. Beard, the former Miss Docia Davenport, born in Mississippi, had lived in Lamar County since 1910. She leaves her husband; these children: L. G. Beard of Direct; J. L. Beard and Mrs. May Diggs of Paris; several grandchildren and one great-grandchild.'
