THE PARIS MORNING NEWS, 29 Dec 1918, p. 2: "Ben Bean, the sixteen-year-old son of Mrs. S. L. Bean, a widow, who lived near Deport, died Thursday of pneumonia following influenza. He is survived by his mother, one brother and several sisters. The funeral was held Friday at Mt. Pleasant cemetery north of Deport."
