THE PARIS NEWS-Sept.29,1950: W. L. Baughn Dies At Deport Thursday By Paris News Correspondent DEPORT -r Funeral services for Warner Lafayette Baughn, 83-year old vice-president of First National Bank hero, were set for 3 o'clock Friday afternoon at First Presbyterian Church here. Mr. Baughn died Thursday afternoon at 5 o'clock at Grant Hospital.
The pastor, the Rev. Joe Everheart, was to conduct the services at the church, where Mr. Baughn was the oldest elder in age and length of service. Burial was to be made in Highland Cemetery here, In charge of Grant Funeral Home. Pallbearers named were J.
B. Griffin, John Moore, Horace Roberts, Hoger Kelsey, Gussie Nobles, and Lewis Jeffus. Mr. Baughn was born in Henderson County, Term., Sept. 11, 1867 and came to Texas in 1881 with his parents.
George and Susan Baughn. In 1897 be was married to Miss Maude Oliver, who died in 1943. Mr. Baughn was a retired farmer and was in the grocery business here for 19 years.
He had been a member of the Presbyterian Church since 1883.
