THE PARIS NEWS, handwritten date of 8 Dec 1955: 'Mrs. W. R. Baty, the former Miss Mollie Mayer, of 708 W. Sherman St., died Saturday at 5 p.m. at a local hospital after a long illness. Funeral services will be held Monday at 3 p.m. at Gene Roden & Sons chapel, conducted by the Rev. Robert Richardson, Pastor of Central Presbyterian Church. Interment will be made in Evergreen Cemetery. Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Mai Baty Bynum, Dallas, Mrs. Samuel M. Seelig, Hamilton, Ohio, and Mrs. Willie M. Plummer, Paris, and a step-sister, Mrs. J.L. Shanklin, Paris. Mrs. Baty's husband died in 1918. Born 1 Jul 1872 [sic], in Columbia, Ky., Mrs. Baty was a sister of the late Henry P. Mayer, Edgar Mayer and Melville Mayer of Paris. Her parents were Alexander Mayer, a native of Germany, and Martha Tutt, born in Kentucky.' Buried next to William R. Baty.
