| Notes THE PARIS NEWS, Thurs. Dec. 27, 1979, p. 4: “Robert Lee Battle, 13, of Blossom, died Dec. 21 at 7:20 p.m. in Blossom. Funeral services are scheduled for Friday at 11 a.m. in the Oak Hill Baptist Church in Blossom with the Rev. J. R. Savage officiating. Interment will be in Egypt Cemetery under direction of Ferguson Funeral Home. Robert was born Jan. 5, 1966 in Paris. His father was the late Robert Lee Battle, Sr. His mother was Mildred Ann (Reynolds) Battle. Robert was a student at Blossom. Survivors include his mother, three brothers, Warren Dewayne Battle, Derrick D. Battle and Quarlin L. Battle, all of Blossom; five aunts and five uncles.” Submitted by Sylvia Tongson. Tombstone is inscribed, “Son of Robert and Mildred Ann Battle.” Between Loretta Cobb and Cloteal Cobb. |
