| Notes THE PARIS NEWS, Thu., Jan. 25, 1996, p.14A. 'Audrey May Bates, 68, of Salem, OR, formerly of Lamar County, died at 4:25 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 24, 1996, at St. Joseph's Hospital & Health Center. Fry & Gibbs Funeral Home transferred the body to the Virgil T. Golden Funeral Home in Salem which will conduct graveside rites at the City View Cemetery. Mrs. Bates was born Sep. 21, 1927, in OK, a daughter of John Henry and Stella Mae Whitlock Jones. She attended schools in Lamar County and was a homemaker and a member of the Worldwide Church of God. She married Willie Leon Bates in 1942 in Hugo, OK. Surviving are her husband; three sons, Larry Bates, David Lee Bates and Jeff Bates; and an aunt, Nettie Thompson of Reno. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Yvonne Bates, in 1985.' |
