| Notes THE PARIS NEWS, 30 Sep 1963: "M. M. (Mike) Bateman, 96, a former Paris contractor, died at 5:30 p.m. Monday in Dallas, at the home of his daughter, Mrs. W. Bruce Wright, 3231 Greenbriar. He had lived in Dallas about 12 years. Graveside rites in Evergreen Cemetery here will be held Wednesday at 4 p.m. after service in Restland Funeral Home in Dallas at 11 a.m. The Rev. Kirby Edwards of University Park Methodist Church will officiate. The only immediate survivor besides Mr. Bateman’s daughter, are a granddaughter, Mrs. Don Brown, also of Dallas, and two great grandchildren." On the same stone with Nelia Harty Bateman. Tombstone is inscribed, "Morgan ‘Mike’ Bateman." |
