THE PARIS NEWS, 17 Jun 1982. 'Floyd B. Bass of 1820 Ballard St. died at 8:10 Saturday in St. Joseph's Hospital. Services are set for 2 p.m. Monday in the Gene Roden's Sons Chapel with burial to follow in Evergreen Cemetery. He was a self-employed contractor and was the founder of the local Lodge No. 379 of the Loyal Order of Moose. He was also past secretary and manager of the lodge. He was also a member of the Elks Lodge. He was born 24 Jan 1913 in Bagwell. He was the son of Benjamin Burton Bass and Effie Slate Bass. He married Kathryn Bunch on 16 Sep 1932. Survivors include his wife, Kathryn of the home; one son, Bill Mack Bass of Paris; his mother, Effie Bass of San Drando, Calif.; two sisters, Marine Drury of San Lorenzo, Calif. and Myrtle Mae Bryant of San Drango, Calif.; two brothers, Jack Bass and Dean Bass, both of Carson City, Nev. and two grandchildren.' On the same stone with Ollie Kathryn Bass.
