THE PARIS NEWS, 14 Nov 1989: 'Lois V. Basinger, 80, of Deport, died Monday, 13 Nov 1989, at her home. Services will be held Wednesday, 15 Nov, at 2 p.m. in the Deport Church of Christ. Grant Funeral Home will make burial in Highland Cemetery. Cecil Allen will officiate. Mrs. Basinger was born 26 Oct 1909, in Idabel, Okla., a daughter of Willie and Sora Martin Fincher. She married William Thomas Basinger on 23 Jul 1928, in Rosser, Texas. He died 28 Aug 1975. She was a member of the Deport Church of Christ. Surviving are two sons, Darrell and James Lee Basinger, both of Colorado Springs, Colo.; one brother, Don Fincher of Lancaster, Calif.; three sisters, Allece Rowan of Palmdale, Calif., Juanita Hatchel and Sue Benson, both of Downey, Calif.; 11 grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons, T. J. and Bryan Basinger; one grandson, Michael Douglas Basinger, two sisters and four brothers. The family will receive friends from 7-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.'
