| Notes LAMAR COUNTY ECHO, 28 Nov 1989. 'Funeral services for Luther T. Basham, 228-2nd NE, were conducted Monday in Bright-Holland Funeral HOme Chapel with the Rev. Eugene Adams officiating. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery. Bearers were W.L. Sansing, Robert Sansing, Don Jones, Bloyce Crumbley, Cecil Basham and Frank Elliott. Mr. Basham died Saturday at McCuistion Medical Center.' THE PARIS NEWS, 27 Nov 1989. 'Luther T. Basham, 76, 228-2nd NE, died Saturday, 25 Nov 1989, at McCuistion Medical Center. Services were scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday, 27 Nov, at Bright-Holland Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Eugene Adams officiating. Burial was to be in Evergreen Cemetery. Mr. Basham was born 4 Oct 1913, in Pacio, a son of C.M. and Maggie Thomas Basham. He married Evelyn Iglehart on 30 Jan 1935 [her record says 25 Jan], in Delta county. He was a member of the Pacio Baptist Church and was a Mason. Surviving are his wife; one daughter and son-in-law, Armeta and H.L. Sansing of Roscoe; one grandson, Terry Sansing of Lubbock; one great granddaughter, Tara Sansing; three brothers, Ralph Basham of Pacio, Cecil Basham of Pacio and Floyd Basham of Paris, and two sisters, Thelma Meadlin of Fort Bragg, Calif. and Venita Gentry of Lubbock.' On the same stone with Evelyn L. Basham. Buried next to Fay Frith Basham. |
