Tombstone is inscribed without death date. Married Charles James Basham. LAMAR COUNTY ECHO, 19 Feb 1987. 'Ellie (Mammie) Basham, 657-3rd SE, died at St. Joseph's Hospital at 7:45 a.m. Sunday, 15 Feb 1987. Services were held Tuesday, 17 Feb, at Evergreen Cemetery by Fry and Gibbs Funeral Home. The Rev. Lee Smith officiated. Mrs. Basham was born 27 Mar 1918, in Delta County, a daughter of Ross Burchett and Priscilla Morgan Burchett. She attended Delta County schools and married C.J. Basham on 23 Mar 1935. He died 24 Jun 1984. She was a member of the First Baptist Church. She lived in Lake Creek until 1940 when she moved to Paris. Surviving are a daughter, Charlene Dingman of Paris; two grandchildren, DeeDee Gifford of Blossom and Dickie D. Dingman of Salanas, Calif.; one great grandchild, Cigie Gifford of Blossom; one sister, Ida Ward of Lubbock; and two brothers, Emitt Burchett of Lubbock and Pat Burchett of Cooper.'
