| Notes LAMAR COUNTY ECHO Thu. Nov. 15, 1984: "Oliver (Pops) Barrett Jr., 1840 Fitzhugh, died Tuesday, Nov. 6, at St. Joseph’s Hospital. Services were held Saturday, Nov. 10, at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church at noon with the Rev. S.F. Evans officiating. Maxey Funeral Home made burial in Restlawn Gardens Cemetery.Mr. Barrett was born May 13, 1910, in Lamar County, a son of Oliver Barrett Sr. and Leslie Sneed Barrett. He was a retired employee of S.H. Kress Co. and a member of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church and of Olive Branch Lodge No. 19, F&AM. Surviving are a brother, Frank Johnson of Muskogee, Okla.; several nieces and nephews." On the same stone with I. V. Barrett. |
