LAMAR COUNTY ECHO, 28 Jun 1984. 'Mrs. Ollie M. Barnett, 1844 El Capitan, Dallas, died at Doctor's Hospital in Dallas Monday, 25 Jun 1984, at 8:30 p.m. Services were held at 2 p p.m. Wednesday, 27 Jun., at Fry and Gibbs Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ronald (Buddy) Barnett officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Mrs. Barnett was born 28 Jul 1911, in Atlas, a daughter of J.F. Ables and Elizabeth M. McElroy Ables. She attended Atlas school and married C.H. Barnett in 1926. He died 13 Feb 1978. She lived in Paris until 1972, when she moved to Dallas. Surviving are two daughters, Miss Winnie D. Barnett of Dallas and Mrs. Ila Ruano of Dallas; two sons, Ray Barnett of Dallas and Billy Barnett of Pottsboro; seven grandchildren; two great grandchildren.'

Married Clarence Homer Barnett.
