THE PARIS NEWS, Sunday, November 21, 1976: "Mrs. Barnett. Mrs. Joann Crouch Barnett, 45, of Everman, formerly of Paris, died at Harris Hospital in Fort Worth Saturday morning. Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Monday in Memorial Chapel, Leverett and Steele Funeral Home in Paris. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Barnett was born Nov. 28, 1930, in Paris, the daughter of Jimmy Crouch and Lois Dunnam Crouch. She attended Paris schools and graduated from Paris High School in the top 15 of her class. She took nurses' training from All Saints Hospital in Fort Worth. She worked there for about nine years. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Paris. The family is at the home of her mother, Mrs. H. H. Cullum, 973 E. Grove in Paris. Survivors include her mother; three sons, Johnny Holmes of Reno, David Holmes of Palestine and Allen Boatright of Fort Worth; three daughters, Miss Lois, Evelyn and Joni Boatright, all of Fort Worth; two brothers, Frank M. Long of Tacoma, Wash., and Howard Crouch of Midland; and six grandchildren. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Sunday.” Submitted by Linda Broyles.

THE PARIS NEWS, Tuesday, November 23, 1976, p. 2: "Barnett funeral. Funeral services for Mrs. Jo Anne Barnett of 606 Hansbarger in Everman were held at 4 p.m. Monday in the Leverett and Steele Funeral Home Chapel. Dr. James Semple officiated with burial in Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers were Gary Vaughan, Jimmy Vaughan, Bobby Vaughan, Joe Vaughan, Bennie Hosteller and Merle Mazy. Mrs. Barnett died Saturday at Harris Hospital in Fort Worth.” Submitted by Linda Broyles.
