| Notes THE PARIS NEWS, Sunday, 3 Oct 1976, page 11: "Mrs. J. H. Barnett - Mrs. J. H. Barnett, 422-30th NE, died Saturday in St. Joseph's Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday in the chapel of Gene Roden's Sons, Directors of Funerals. Interment will be in Meadowbrook Cemetery. Hubert Roach, Church of Christ minister, will officiate. Mrs. Barnett was born Nov. 21, 1893, in Naples, Tex., a daughter of George B. Cherry and Rosa Lee (Wilkerson) Cherry. Her husband died in 1965. She was a member of the Lamar Ave Church of Christ. Survivors include two sons, Hoyt Barnett of Paris and Lloyd Barnett of Waco; two daughters, Mrs. Ray Glover and Mrs. Christene Gullion; nine grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 7:30 to8:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home." Titus County, TX Marriage Records: John Hardy Barnett married Grace Rebecca Cherry on 10/02/1910.
