THE PARIS NEWS Thursday, Jun. 24, 1993, p. 16A: "Elizabeth Jane Barnett, 86, 3055 Clarksville St., died Wednesday, June 23, in Paris Nursing Home. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, June 25, at Evergreen Cemetery with the Rev. Cline Davis officiating. Gene Roden’s Sons, Directors of Funerals, has charge of arrangements. Mrs. Barnett was born Feb. 17, 1907, in Paris, a daughter of James Alfred and Lala Imelda Deatherage Lillard. She married Peter W. Barnett Dec. 27, 1930. He died Feb. 15, 1963. She was a member of the Central Presbyterian Church. Surviving are a sister, Mrs. Hub (Mary Elleen) Hollis of Paris; a nephew, James T. Hollis of Garland; a great-niece, Laurie Hollis of Santa Fe, NM; and two great-nephews, James Hollis of Houston and Thomas Hollis of Brownsville."
