THE PARIS NEWS, Sunday, 15 Apr 1956, page 2: "Mrs. Alcy W. Barnett - Last rites for Mrs. Alcy William Barnett, 89, who died Friday at home, 107-8th NE, were held Saturday afternoon at East Paris Baptist Church by the pastor, the Rev. Carroll Cole, and the Rev. Lester Vaughn. Burial in Meadowbrook Memorial Park, east of Paris, was made by Delta Funeral Home of Cooper. Grandsons were pallbearers. Daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Hunter, Mrs. Barnett was born in Trenton County, Kentucky, November 15, 1866. A widow, she leaves these children: Addison Barnett, Dallas; Ed Barnett, Richard Barnett and Mrs. Martha Cisler, all of Tom Ball, Tex.; Homer Barnett and Mrs. J. D. Golden, Paris; 20 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren."
