THE PARIS NEWS, Wednesday, December 7, 1960, p. 2: “MRS. ED BARNES. Mrs. Ed Barnes, Paris, Rt. 2, died Wednesday at 3 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Hospital, where she was an employee. She had been admitted there as a patient about 9:30 p.m. Tuesday after a heart attack. Gene Roden & Sons have charge of burial arrangements. The former Miss Lellia May Kindle, Mrs. Barnes was a daughter of J. M. and Sarah Clementine Kindle, and was born December 26, 26, 1907. Her husband died February 8 this year. Mrs. Barnes leaves two sons: James E. Barnes, Sherman; Bill J. Barnes, United States Air Force, Limestone, Md.; three grandchildren; a step-daughter Mrs Calivin Rutherford, Los Angeles, Calif.; these brothers and sisters: Marion L. Kindle and Jesse E. Kindle, Paris; Mrs. Vollie Jordan, Dallas, and Mrs. Floyd Wall, Lewisville.”
