Unnamed Newspaper, hand-dated 8/1/1973: “Miss Trixie Barham a native of Deport, was killed Tuesday afternoon in an automobile accident in Vernon where she made her home. Funeral services will be held at 9:30 Thursday at Sullivan Funeral Home in Vernon. Graveside services will be held at 4:30 p.m. Thursday in Highland Cemetery here. Miss. Barham was a daughter of E.A. and Amy Rebecca (Teague) Barham. She was a retired school teacher and had taught in Lamar County schools and in Vernon. Survivors include a brother, Joe Barham of Antlers, Okla. and a sister, Mrs. James Hogue of Vernon with whom she made her home. Several nieces and nephews also survive.” Submitted by Linda Broyles.
