| Notes THE LAMAR COUNTY ECHO, undated: “Mrs. E. E. Barbee, 89, of 830 Pine Bluff, died Tuesday, September 19, 1978, in a local hospital. Funeral services were held Wednesday, September 20 at the Fry and Gibbs Funeral Home Chapel, with burial in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens. The Rev. Julian T. Hendren, pastor of Central United Presbyterian Church, officiated. Daisy Hull Barbee was born July 13, 1889, in Paris, daughter of George and Sarah Parr Hull. In November 1909, she married E. E. Barbee, who preceded her in death on February 29, 1968. She was a member of Central United Presbyterian Church. Survivors include two daughters, Miss Helen Barbee of Paris, and Mrs, Jack Hagood of Paris; two sons, Elbert E. Barbee. Jr. of Paris and Bill H. Barbee of Richardson; five grandchildren, Mrs. T.K. Lowery of Richardson, Mike Barbee and Pat Barbee both of Paris; Mrs, Ken Kirk of Mount Pleasant, and Hull Barbee of Lubbock; seven great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; three sisters, Mrs. E.L. Bailey of Sterling City, Mrs. Frank Dooley and Mrs Fred Council, both of Paris; and one nephew. Pallbearers were; Mike Barbee, Pat Barbee, Hull Barbee Kenneth Kirk, Jeff Mercer, Keith Lowery, Herschell Barbee, and Raymond Wunsch.” Submitted by Mary J. Tallant.
