THE PARIS NEWS, Wed., Jul. 24, 1996, p.8A. 'Sammye Lee Bannantine, 61, Rt. 1, Paris, died Sunday, Any 21, 1996, at her home. Mass of Christian burial will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 25, at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church with Father Anthony Alphonse officiating. Graveside services will be conducted at Mt. Tabor Cemetery. A vigil will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Fry and Gibbs Funeral Home. Mrs. Bannantine was born July 25, 1934, in Honey Grove, a daughter of S.H. and Vera Lee Adkins Martin. She was a member of Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church. She married George A. Bannantine Jr. March 17, 1955 in Oklahoma. Surviving are her husband; three children, James Bannantine of Sao Paulo, Brazil, Julie Bannantine Parlier of San Ramon, Calif., and Robert Bannantine of San Antonio; six grandchildren; five sisters, Gertie Lee McCord of Paris, Clare Franklin of California, Mary Bray and Louise McClothin of Paris and Jeanette Wisely of Powderly; and three brothers, L.C. Martin of Fairfield, Jerry Martin of Paris and Gerald Martin of Roxton. If desired, in lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Food For The Poor, Dept 11823, 550 SW 12th Ave., Deerfield Beach, Fla. 33442, or to a favorite charity.'
