LAMAR COUNTY ECHO July 11, 1985. 'BORGER-Mrs. M.C. 'Jo' Barnett of Stinnet, the former Bonnie Odessa Boyd, died Sun., July 7, at her home. Services Tues., July 9, at the First Baptist Church in Stinnet. Born in Charleston daughter of O.J. & Bonnie Boyd. Married M.C. 'Joe' Barnett in CA., in 1940, later returning home to Texas. She & her husband operated a chain of grocery stores, Buddies Supermarkets, for several years. Was a member of the greater Ideal Baptist Church of Midland & former member of Mt. Pisgah Baptist in Paris. Surviving her are husband of the home; 1 daughter, Mrs. Jo Marie Wells of Amarillo; 3 grandchildren, Scott, Gary & Rachel Wells, all of Amarillo; 2 sisters, Mr. A.G. 'Gladys' Riley of Lompoc, CA., and Mrs. J. W. 'Odie Marie' Larkin of Paris; 2 brothers, A.J. Boyd Jr. of Enola, AR., & Nick Boyd of Charleston.'
