THE PARIS NEWS Fri., Sep. 6, 1991, p. 4A. 'W. M. Ball, 5095 Smallwood Rd., died in St. Joseph's Hospital at 1:45 a.m. Fri., Sep. 6. Services at 2:30 p.m. at Fry & Gibbs with Dr. Wilbur Simmons. Born in Minter, son of W. J. & Lillian Goouch Ball. Married Melba Norrell. A veteran of WW II serving in the Navy & Air Force. Was a retired truck driver for Merico working there from its beginning until Sep. 1989. Was a member of Ramseur Baptist Church & former member of Oddfellows. Surviving are his wife; a son, Danny W. Ball of Paris; 2 daughters & son in law, Patricia & Gerald Byas of Paris & Debbie & Dennis Ward of Paris; his mother who lives in Paris; 5 grandchildren, Johnathan & Michael Ashley & Stephanie Paige, & Dana Ward, all of Paris; 2 brothers, Dean Ball of Paris & Bill Ball of Garland; & 3 sisters, Mrs. Douglas 'Genevieve' Solomon of Paris, Mrs. Odene 'Rose Marie' Stahman of San Antonio, & Mrs. George 'Sue' Stallings of Greenville."
