THE PARIS NEWS, Monday, June 5, 1978, p. 4: “Zin Baker, 68, of 320 SW 17th, died Sunday, June 4, 1978. Funeral services were held Tuesday in the Leverett-Steele-Thomas Funeral Home chapel with the Dr. James Semple officiating. Interment was made in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens. Mr. Baker was born February 24, 1910, at Ojus, Florida, the son of Zin Baker and Lizzie Dora Morris Baker. He married Constance Bushea on December 1, 1940, in Miami, Florida and was a Maico Hearing Aid dealer and a member of the First Baptist Church. He served in the Air Force during World War II. Survivors include his wife and two sisters, Mrs. Louise Raskin of Deerfield Beach, Florida and Mrs. Addy Adamitz of State College, Pennsylvania. Pallbearers were Lester Mullins, Hamp Malone, Sidney Lenoir, Fred Ramsey, Dr. Gerald Dodd and Albert Cunningham.” Submitted by Carol Campbell.
