From the record journal of Meadowbrook Cemetery; son of John and Minnie Walters Baker. Born in Jackson, TN., died in Lamar County.

THE LAMAR COUNTY ECHO, 28 Jul 1988. 'Roy Lee Baker, 86, formerly of 247-4th SW, of Cherry Street Annex, died at 12:55 a.m. Friday, 22 Jul 1988, at St. Joseph's Hospital. Services were held at 11 a.m. Monday, 25 Jul, at Fry and Gibbs Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Randall Scott and Dr. Pat Otwell officiating. Burial was in Meadowbrook Cemetery. Mr. Baker was born 2 Aug 1901, in Jackson, Tenn., a son of John and Minnie Recie Walters Baker. He attended Powderly schools and married Lillian Mae Wallace on 22 Dec 1938, in Mount Pleasant. She died 13 Sep 1976. He moved to Paris in 1946 and was an insurance salesman for Universal Life for a number of years. He was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church. Surviving are a son, Kenneth Earl McNeill of Lewisville; two grandchildren, Barbara Brierton of Trophy Club and John Kevin McNeill of Lewisville, and two great grandchildren.'
