THE PARIS NEWS, Friday, November 16, 1934, p. 7: "FUNERAL SATURDAY FOR MRS. R. R. BAKER. Paris Woman Succumbs to Long Illness Friday Morning. Mrs. R. R. Baker, 79, wife of R. R. Baker, former alderman-at-large and pioneer furniture dealer of Paris, died at her home at 286 Lamar avenue at 10:40 o'clock Friday morning, following an illness of four months. Funeral services will be held at 3 o'clock Saturday afternoon from Manton-Fry Funeral Home with Christian Science services. Burial will be at Evergreen cemetery. Mrs. Baker who has been a resident of Paris for 48 years, was born in Coffeeville, Miss. She and Mr. Baker were married in Sulphur Springs, Texas, 52 years ago. She is survived by her husband and two children, Fred Baker of Paris and Mrs. C. E. Weber of Tahlequah, Okla. Mrs. Weber was at her bedside when she died."
