THE PARIS NEWS, Wednesday, September 1, 1937, p. 7: “INFANT OF TALCO COUPLE DIES HERE. Gloria Joy, 18 day old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. L. C. Baker of Talco died at 7:30 o’clock Tuesday evening at the Sanitarium of Paris, where she had been for treatment four days. The funeral was arranged for 2 o’clock Wednesday afternoon at Emberson-Brown-Roden funeral home, conducted by the Rev. F. J. Schiessl, pastor of Our Lady of Victory church, with interment at Evergreen cemetery. Surviving the child besides the parents are a half-sister and brother, Mary Frances and Jimmie Rodgers.”
