THE PARIS NEWS, Thursday, May 6, 1937, p. 10: “FUNERAL OF VAN BAILEY IS HELD. BLOSSOM. (Special) -- Funeral services for Van Bailey, 27 years old, who died of pneumonia Tuesday night at his home south of town, were arranged for 3 o’clock Thursday afternoon at Post Oak conducted by the Rev. T. W. Cummings of Hugo, Nazarene pastor formerly of Blossom. Arthur Woodall, Lee Roberts, Gordon Burks, Hubert Griffin and Osburn Bonner were named as pallbearers. Surviving are his wife and three children, his father, Philip Bailey, two brothers, Ethel and Morris Bailey and a sister, Pauline Bailey.
