THE PARIS NEWS, Sunday, January 7, 1934, p. 7: “Bailey Funeral to Be Held On Monday. Funeral services for Mrs. Stella L. Bailey, 41, who died at the Sanitarium of Paris at 7:40 o’clock at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. M. Nance, 153 South Thirtieth street. The Rev. W. M. Wright, pastor of the First Baptist church, will conduct the services. Burial will be at the Evergreen cemetery. Mrs. Bailey was the wife of W. J. Bailey and other survivors are a son, W. J. Bailey, Jr., of Paris, and four sisters, Mrs. Maud Cowan of Texarkana, Mrs. Etta Tandy of Indianapolis, Ind., Mrs. June King of Ada, Okla., and Mrs. Alite Adams of Paris. Pall bearers will be Roy Dunagan, Lowe Butler, Reagan Stallings, Biill Park, Sam Baxter and Ross Mitchell.”
