THE PARIS NEWS, Wednesday, April 14, 1937, p. 6: “PHILIP A. BAILEY DIES AT BLOSSOM. BLOSSOM. (Special) -- Funeral services for Philip Arthur Bailey, 31 year old, who died Sunday night at his home south of town, were held Monday afternoon at Post Oak community by the Rev. John Payne, Baptist minister. Pallbearers were George May, Hubert Griffin, Arthur Woodall, Roy Conder, Louie Roberts and Ellis Cannon. Surviving Mr. Bailey are his father, his wife and two children; three brothers, Morris, Van and Athel; and a sister, Mrs. Pauline Bailey.”
