| Notes THE PARIS NEWS Tue., Jan. 12, 1993, p.10A. '...72, 1140-12th SE, died Mon., Jan. 11, at her home. Services at 2 p.m. Wed., Jan. 13, at Ramseur Baptist Church with Dr. Wibur Simmons, Rev. Ted Hicks and Rev. Robert Shugart. Fry and Gibbs Funeral Home in charge. Born in Howland, a daughter of Ben W. and Claudia Gertrude Meeks Whitten, she attended school at Broadway and married Leroy Loggins May 14, 1938. He died Jul. 22, 1970. She married Reginald Bailey who preceded her in death Sep. 28, 1986. She worked at Lacy-Margraves Drug and later for Belk Department Store, retiring in 1975. She was a member of Ramseur Baptist Church and its Berean Sunday School Class and the Golden Agers. She was a member of the Shiloh Luncheon Club and was an RSVP volunteer worker. Surviving are 4 children, Larry and Bonnie Loggins of Paris, Dale and Judy Loggins of Paris, Kenneth Bailey of El Paso and Keith Bailey of Paris; 6 grandchildren; 6 brothers and sisters, Ernest Whitten of Amarillo, Leroy Whitten of Paris, Erma Rhoades of Paris, Wilma Shugart of Shamrock, Margie McPeak of Canton and Janice McDonald of Fort Worth.' This is also entered under surname Whitten. [Her husband Reginald is buried under the name 'T. Reginald Bailey' in East Post Oak Cemetery.] |
