THE PARIS NEWS Sun., June 16, 1991, p.2A. '...75, of Arthur City died at McCuis- tion Hospital, Thursday June 13. Services at 11 a.m. Monday, June 17, at Maxey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Charlie Lewis. Born in Powderly, daughter of Clark & Bertie Smith McDonald, was a graduate of Gibbons High School, Prairie View A and M College and was a member of the Northeast Church of Christ. She taught school for 40 years, was a member of the Eastern Stars & Les Belles Parisiennes Club. She was honored for outstanding civic and professional acheivement at the annual Sam Rayburn Public Affairs Symposium at East Texas State Univeristy in 1981. She was active in work with senior citizens in Arthur City and had served on the board of the North Lamar Independent School District. Surviving are two brothers, J.C. McDonald of Arthur City & Fleming McDonald SR. of Powderly; two sisters, Flora Rucker of Paris & Lillian Ocleta Burton of Kansas City, MO. and an aunt, Pearl Randall of Paris.' [On the same stone with Edward Bailey.]
