Notes
Information from Carmen Lee Burks [deceased]: An unmarked grave believed to be in the northwest quadrant of the cemetery. No dates known. Wife of Joe D. Bailey. Children: J.C.; Eunice; Mattie; I.V.; Hattie; Ollie Bell. In 2008, on the same stone with Joseph and Hattie Bailey. Tombstone is inscribed, '1874-1947.'
THE PARIS NEWS, Friday, October 24, 1947: 'Cooper-- Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon at 3 o'clock at the Rockford Church for Mrs. Emma Bailey, 72, who died at her home in Paris Thursday morning at 1 o'clock. Barn Allen conducted the services and burial was made at Rockford Cemetery with the Delta Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Grandsons were pallbearers. Mrs. Bailey is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Ollie Burks, Biardstown, Mrs. May Terry, Atlas, and Mrs. I. V. Robinson, Houston; two sons, Euna Bailey and J. C. Bailey of Houston; 18 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.'
