THE PARIS NEWS, (Date of obituary not available.) 'Earl L. Bailey, 81, a former Parisian, died Monday, 21 Jan 1974, at Sterling City, Texas. Funeral services were held Tuesday, 22 Jan, in the Presbyterian Church at Sterling City. Fry and Gibbs Funeral Home had charge of graveside services Wednesday, 23 Jan 1974 in Paris where burial was made in Evergreen Cemetery. The Rev. Hubert Travis of Waxahachie officiated. Mrs. Bailey was born 18 Aug 1892, in Red River County, a son of G.I. and Bell Patterson Bailey. He married the former Miss Hannah Hull on September 9, 1917 in Paris. He moved to Sterling City from Paris in 1925. He was an elder in the Presbyterian Church. Survivors include his wife; two sisters, Mrs. Bertha Morton of Big Springs and Ms. Leatha Carroll of Dallas; and a brother, Seth Bailey of Sterling City.'
