THE PARIS NEWS, Wednesday, June 18, 1919, p. 2: Mrs. Nannie Tolbert Bagley died at 5 o'clock yesterday afternoon at the home of C. V. Paty on East Houston street after an illness of six weeks, the immediate cause of her death being the development of pneumonia about twenty-four hours prior to her passing away. She was born May 1, 1879, at Stroude, Ala., and being left a widow a little over eight years ago came to Paris to make her home. She is survived by one child, Miss Eva Melle Bagley, 15 years old; and also by three sisters. Mrs. Ida T. Murrah of Broken Bow, Ok., Mrs. C. V. Paty of Paris and Mrs. Claude Woodware of Denison, and by five brothers, L. L. and Wheeler H. Tolbert of Culumbus, Ga., Luther A. and Lon J. Tolbert of Paris and Lee H. Tolbert of Pryor, Ok. From early childhood she had been a consistent member of the Baptist church and much beloved by her friends for her generous and charitable disposition. The funeral will be held at the home of her sister, Mrs. Paty, on East Houston street at an hour not yet decided on account of waiting on relatives from Georgia.
