THE LAMAR COUNTY ECHO, 25 Sep 1986: 'Tony Chad Baeza, 18, of 250 Turtle Creek, Paris, died Saturday morning, 20 Sep 1986, at Presbyterian Hospital, Dallas, from injuries received in a motorcycle accident Friday afternoon in Paris. According to an official with the Paris Police Department, the accident occurred at 2:05 p.m. in the 2700 block of Lamar Avenue. According to reports, Baeza was traveling west on Lamar in the outside lane on a 1977 model Honda 554 motorcycle when the motorcycle came into collision with a 1983 model Chevrolet pickup driven by Yolanda Bazan Flick, 26, of Rt. 1, Arthur City. Both Baeza and Mrs. Flick were transported by Paris EMS ambulance to St. Joseph's Hospital. Baeza was later transported to Presbyterian Hospital in Dallas by Air Life EMS from Texarkana. Mrs. Flick was treated and released from St. Joseph Hospital. Passengers in the pickup but who were not injured were Vivian Flick, 38, of Booker T. Washington Homes Number 201, and Trista N. Flick, 3 years old. Baeza was not wearing a helmet when the accident occurred, according to Police. The west bound traffic on Lamar was routed around the scene of the accident for approximately 30 minutes. Services for Baeza were held Monday, 22 Sep, in Bright-Holland Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Tom Moore officiating. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery. He was born 12 Feb 1968, in Denison, a son of Tony and Kay Mayhew Baeza. Surviving are his mother, Kay Brown of Paris; his father, Tony Baeza of Dallas; a stepfather, Randy Brown of Paris; one brother, Jeff Baeza of Paris; one sister, Shannon Bost of Paris.'
