| Notes THE WICHITA FALLS DAILY TIMES, Monday, November 29, 1926: “The body of J. M. Bennett, who died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. W. G. Graham, 2003 Hayes Street, Saturday night, was forwarded to Paris, Texas, by Hines mortuary Sunday. Mr. Bennett is survived by a son, W. P. Bennett, of 1501 Travis Street.” There was a Private J. M. Bennett enlisted in in Co. A, 9th Texas Infantry who was born about 1840. It is not known if this is the same one. Lamar County, TX Marriage Records: John M. Bennett married Belle Ryan 09 Jan 1871. On the same stone with L. B. Bennett. |
