| Notes THE PARIS NEWS, Thursday, February 8, 1979, p. 4: “Arthur Black of 338 W. Neagle died Sunday at a local hospital. Services will be Friday at 2:30 p.m. at the Maxey Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ralph Brow officiating. Burial will be in Restlawn Gardens Cemetery. Mr. Black was born in Lamar County on December 25, 1900, son of Lige Black and Mary (Price) Black. Survivors include his wife, Lula; a daughter, Ruby Washington of Paris; a brother, John Henry Black of Paris; three grandchildren and two aunts.” The death records has him born in Mar 1897. There were two Arthur Black both were listed as dying in 1935. Only one died in 1935 |
