20 Year Award
Received for serving as a TXGenWeb County Coordinator for 20 years (1996-2016)

The Lamar County Web site was begun in July 1996 and is the result of many hard-working dedicated individuals. Many people have donated their information, transcribed records, and helped in more ways than can be listed here. These pages are NOT my pages, but they belong to every member of the Lamar County (TX) Genealogical Society, every visitor who has visited, every person who has transcribed even one obituary. It has taken all of us working together to make this site grow and grow and grow. The result is a wealth of information that can not be exceeded anywhere on the Internet. Special thanks to Ron Brothers, President of the Lamar County Genealogical Society. His support has made this all possible. There are too many others to begin naming names for fear I would miss someone.

On Thursday evening, June 18, 1999, I was stunned, but honored to receive this award:

LCGS Award

Thanks!

Betsy Mills, Webmaster
